Summary
Digital Game Night or
DGN is a social student event hosted by the IT University of Denmark -
www.itu.dk. The event is basically about playing computer games with/against fellow students. The event is created and administrated by students.
Where
The event always takes place in ITU’s Game Lab -
www1.itu.dk/sw52398.asp.
When
The event will normally be held on the last Friday of each month, but depending on exams, holidays and other events held at the ITU the date may vary. Please see the
Events page for further info about upcoming events.
Who
The events are primarily for the students on the MTG-line but other students from ITU can attend if they have been invited or have been granted access by the DGN committee.
What to do
Prior to each event an invitation will be send out by e-mail - if you want to attend the event please sign up by replying the e-mail. At the day of the event we meet in the Game Lab or the Scroll Bar at the given time. Each event will last for as long time as there are participants present. Please note that there is a limited amount of seats and you need to register and arrive within one hour after the beginning time of the event to ensure a seat.
Which games
The majority will choose which games to be played. If enough participants are present it will be possible to run more than one game server at a time.
What to bring
The Game Lab has more than 30 computers with games installed, so the only thing you will have to bring is a set of headphones. The Scroll Bar will be open to around 03:00 and beside that several slot machines containing sweets and drinks are located in the university.
Why
DGN has two primary purposes; to strengthen the fellowship among the students at the MTG line and two extend the students’ knowledge about different computer games. We believe this can be achieved in an optimal way – by gaming all night :)
