No more DGN?

As most of you might have found out there have not been held any events for a long time. After I finished my studies at the ITU the event more og less faded out. If any new students want to resurrect the event you are welcome to contact me for advice/information. Until then, R.I.P DGN.

Summer time

The DGN committee wishes all the gamers at ITU a nice summer vacation. The DGN's will return when the next semester starts, maybe even in the week where the new MTG students are having their intro week.

The next 5 DGN's have been planned so you can now find the dates on the events page. Remember to write them down in your calendar as you do not want to miss any of the events :)
Note that the next DGN is in 8 days, an invitation should be sent out today or tomorrow. Information about this month's contest will be available later. Remember to send us an e-mail if you plan on attending so we can reserve a seat for you.

Merry Xmas!

The DGN comittee wishes all ITU's gamers a merry Christmas and a happy new year. Yesterday we held 2007's last DGN and because it is soon Christmas we brought Coca Cola, chips and chocolate for everyone.
In 2008 we plan on having 12 DGN's and we hope for even more participants. Remember to check this website for dates on the upcoming events. See you next year.

Contest prizes

As those who attended the last DGN might have noticed the prizes given to the winners of our contests have become a lot more interesting lately. This is caused by the fact that T.L. (as leader of the MTG-line) has decided to sponsor us :)
Last time we had 8 winners each receiving a "health pack" consisting of Coca Cola, chips, chocolate bars and a bag of candy. At the next DGN we will only have one winner of the contest and he or she will win the PC game Crysis. So remember DGN this friday if you want a chance to win this highly anticipated FPS game.

Thanks to T.L. and the MTG-line for sponsoring us, we really appreciate it.

DGN this friday

The invitation for the next DGN has now been sent out. There is a small error in the invitation - although this month's contest starts at 20.00 the event starts, as always, at 19.00.
We hope a lot of people will show up at the event and don't forget to be there in time for the contest. I promise it will be great fun and the prizes will be useful right away :)

September DGN summary

Last friday we held the DGN for September. Around 28 people attended the event so we didn't fill out all the 32 seats but that will propably happen next month. Some of the attendants brought their consoles (thank you Mike and Doug) so we both had a Wii and a PS2 with 2 guitars. The consoles were connected to the projecter and I guess it is needless to say that they were used a LOT - just look at the "games played" stats for the event.
The event also featured our first DGN contest which was a crazy and action-packed battle in Unreal Tournament. 'Heman' won the contest, see more info about it on the contest page. In the future each event will at least feature one official DGN contest. Next month's contest is already being planned by now and we promise that the prize will be better than this months' :) We will try to make the contests differ from event to event both with regards to genre, game mode, rules and player/team structure. You're welcome to write us if you have any feedback on the events, proposals for new contests, questions or anything else. See you all (+ some newcomers) next month!

New page 'Contests'

As promised - a new page for "Contests". On this page you can see information about the contests which have previously been held and the future ones which have already been announced. Now it is also possible to see the nickname of the person who has written each of the news.
The next update of the site will feature a member registration functionality. By enabling you to create a user for the site we will be able to add some really useful features related to e.g. event sign-up.

Yet a small update

Now it is possible to see which (if any) contests are being held at each event. Just click at an event at the events page and you will see the name of the contest(s). In the future there will be a "Contests" page where further information about the contests, such as winners and prizes, will be announced.

Small update of the site

A small update of this site has been made. Now it is possible to see the total number of seats and the still available number of seats for each of the upcoming events.

Changes in the registration procedure

Today an invitation to the next digital game night has been sent out. From now on there will be 32 seats at the event and the only way you can ensure a seat is to register by replying the invitation e-mail. We expect to get a full house at every event so you have to be fast if you want to get a seat. If you have registrered your seat will be reserved for 1 hour from the beginning time of the event. If you haven't arrived before that hour runs out another person can take your seat.

Digital Game Night website launched!

The official Digital Game Night website has now been released. On this site you will be able to see information about previous and upcoming Digital Game Night events, to read about the event and to contact the Digital Game Night committee.
